From vintage denim to funky home goods, Berry Good Buys is Fort Worth’s favorite spot for secondhand finds that make a statement – and make a difference!

Berry Good Buys is a social enterprise of The Archway. Since 1988, 100 percent of the proceeds made from the store drive our programs to keep families safe from abuse.

How it works

Whether you’re donating, shopping, or just browsing, you’re part of something bigger when you shop at Berry Good Buys. It’s thrift that comes full circle.

EXPLAINS
COMPLEXITY

Generous community members (like you!) donate gently used clothing, furniture, home goods, and more. Every item has potential – whether it’s a cozy sweater, a vintage bookshelf, or the perfect statement piece.

WE SORT WITH PURPOSE

Our team carefully sorts each donation. Items urgently needed by families in our shelters go straight to them. Everything else is prepped, priced, and rolled onto the store floor for shoppers to explore!

FAMILIES SHOP FOR FREE

Survivors in The Archway’s programs can “shop” at Berry Good Buys completely free – getting the essentials they need, and even a few just-for-fun extras. For survivors, this is about rebuilding with dignity.

(Pretty please, no drop-offs outside store hours!)

We stop accepting donations 30 minutes before the store closes.

We do close for holidays and quarterly all-staff meetings. Please refer to our social media pages for these closures, and any other unexpected closures:

When can I drop off donations?

We accept donations Tuesday – Friday from 9:30 AM – 5 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM – 4:30 PM.

Please do not leave donations unattended after hours.

How should I prepare my donations?

Clothing should be in bags or boxes weighing less than 20 pounds and removed from hangers.

Please ensure shoes are out of boxes.

Do you pick up donations?

We are currently unable to pick up donations.

Who does Berry Good Buys benefit?

All proceeds from Berry Good Buys benefit The Archway to keep victims of domestic violence and their children safe from abuse.

Will my donated items go to shelter?

We work with shelter staff to send what is needed to each shelter. Anything that is not needed at that time will be put out on the floor to be sold, and all the proceeds go back to The Archway.

If you are dropping off for a specific donation drive, please label your items “for shelter” and our staff will ensure they get to clients!

What items are you unable to accept?

  • Mattresses, including crib mattresses and sleeper sofas - due to regulations, we are unable to accept any kind of mattresses unless they are still in their unopened original packaging.

  • Used bed pillows

  • Televisions or computer monitors that are not flat screen

  • Natural gas appliances of any kind

  • Broken/stained items or furniture

  • Executive desks or cubicles

  • Filing cabinets

  • China cabinets

  • Hospital beds

  • Window blinds

  • Automobile parts

  • Household building materials (floor tile, paint, sinks, etc.)

  • Chemicals

  • Kerosene lamps

  • Large appliances such as fridges, washers/dryers, etc.

Can I volunteer at Berry Good Buys?

Yes! We are always looking for volunteers.
